Pick For Me is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information:

2.1 Information You Provide

• Categories and Options: All categories, options, descriptions, and weights you create are stored locally on your device only.
• Images: Images you upload are stored locally on your device. We do not access or transmit these images.
• Passwords: If you use secret categories, your password is hashed and stored locally on your device only. We never see your actual password.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Random Images: The app may fetch random placeholder images from Lorem Picsum (picsum.photos) when you choose to use random images.
• Selection History: Your selection history is stored locally on your device only.
• Usage Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage events (such as feature use). We do not send your category names, option text, or images.
• Live Sessions: If you use joint pick or QR session features, encrypted session data may be exchanged via Google Firebase Realtime Database. Anonymous Firebase Authentication is used for signaling.

3. How We Use Your Information

Data you create (categories, options, images, history) is stored locally on your device using local storage (Hive database). We use limited third-party services as described below. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Permissions We Request

Pick For Me requests the following permissions:

• Internet: Used for Firebase services, random placeholder images, and live session features.
• Storage/Camera: Used only when you choose to upload images from your device. Images are stored locally and never transmitted.
• Biometric Authentication: Used for accessing secret categories. Biometric data is processed locally by your device's operating system and never leaves your device.

5. In-App Purchases

Pick For Me offers premium features through in-app purchases via Google Play Billing. Purchase transactions are processed by Google Play. We do not collect or store payment information. Premium status is stored locally on your device.

6. Data Storage and Security

• All your data (categories, options, images, history) is stored locally on your device.
• Passwords are hashed using SHA-256 before storage.
• Biometric authentication is handled by your device's secure system.
• We do not have access to your data stored on your device.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete local data by removing categories, options, or history in the app, or by uninstalling the app. To request deletion of server-side data, see our Data Deletion page.

8. Third-Party Services

Pick For Me uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase Analytics: Anonymous usage analytics.
• Google Firebase Authentication: Anonymous sign-in for live session signaling.
• Google Firebase Realtime Database: Encrypted live session sync when you use joint pick features.
• Lorem Picsum (picsum.photos): Provides random placeholder images.
• Google Play Billing: Processes in-app purchases. Subject to Google's privacy policy.

9. Children's Privacy

Pick For Me does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us.
